Full service social services agency with treatment options for mental health, behavioral health and addiction disorders. They have everything from inpatient therapy, outpatient, group therapy and individual counseling. Housing counseling and placement services. Methadone and saboxone clinics for recovery from opiod addiction.

I have been going to Davis Behavioral Health for years. The magic words to get immediate help from a professional is "I need to see a crisis worker." Sometimes, once you become a patient, they assign you to see a therapist who is not compatible with you. If you feel that this happens to you, and the therapy isn't therapeutic, you have to see the bad therapist to request a new therapist. If you feel that they are not helping you, you can always file a complaint, which is also called a "grievance". Overall, I'm happy to be treated at Davis Behavioral Health. McKay Dee might be better, but I don't want to switch.

This place is hit or miss. Be aware that this is the psychiatric agency the state Medicare/Medicaid systems use. The counselors show their wear and tear from this. I have had absolutely inexcusable experiences here (my counselor would fall asleep when I was talking). But this place had saved my life a couple times. Basically, if you need help and you don't have insurance or a better option, this place is better than jail or the hospital. However, if you have the option or luxury, do some shopping around. Most of the good counselors here are booked into the end of time or aren't taking clients. For new employees it's trial by fire. I've seen some rise to the occasion, some get burned.
